This is the son of William Segrott and Susan Sparrow. Sarah’s maiden name was Grout. The Rutland Segrott family come from here.

I don’t know who this is, but the census suggests that she is an Imbecile or Idiot. She could be the daughter of Thomas Segrott and Rebecca Bradford.

Ann was born Segrott and is the widow of John Martyr. This is the only reference I have seen to a son Hubert. He was born 3 years after John Martyr died, so either the dates that I have are wrong, or he has another father.

I believe that Emma Carpenter is the daughter of John Segrott and Ann Lawson (or Mason).

I don’t know who this is.

William Seagrott & Family

I believe that these may be from the Seagroatt family researched by Phil Sherwood.

The Seagrotts in Chesterton Union

Sarah could be the daughter of William Segrott and Susan Sparrow. I presume that the children are her children and she was an unmarried mother, though the census classes them all as inmates. So it is impossible to confirm their relationship just from the census. Further research would be needed to confirm this.

Harriett, Edward, Maria & Elizabeth Segrott

Harriett is the daughter of William Segrott (son of Thomas Segrott & Elizabeth Hart) and Ann. Edward is the son of Matthew Segrott (son of Mary Segrott, grandson of Thomas Segrott and Elizabeth Hart) and Elizabeth Starling. Maria is Matthew’s sister. Elizabeth is probably a cousin, the daughter of James Segrott & Rhoda Jermyn.

Catherine Segrott & Family

Catherine’s maiden name is Dockerill, since she is staying with her parents at the time of the census. She is married to John Segrott, son of Thomas Segrott and Mary Bowman. Her children were born in France.

Hester Secret

She was born in Brinkley, so I assumed that it may be possible that she was actually a Segrott, though I do not know for sure.

Henry is the son of Thomas Segrott & Elizabeth Hart. Elizabeth’s maiden name was Plumb. Their grandson James was son of James Segrott and Rhoda Jermyn. Their granddaughter Mary Ann Smith is the daughter of one of Henry and Elizabeth’s daughters. I do not know which one at the moment.
